What a year something is happening that we have never seen before on earth. Covid-19 is having a big impact on people’s health and how they are living, My blog is about fitness and having good eating habits with Clovid-19 going on that has made it harder for people to work out because all gym and outdoor workout places are closed until further notice.
We are used to having the habit to go to work, drink our coffee, eat our healthy snacks, and lunch but that has been placed on hold, even people who have kids in elementary- high school are at home and not school due to covid-19. Today I’m here to help create new better habits for you and your kids, also here to give important information we all need to learn if we don’t already know it.
Even though covid-19 is a social distance and stay at home order it’s still important to eat right, still important to workout and still important to have a healthy mind. According to Excelsior people should exercise at home to maintain an active lifestyle is an important part of keeping both your body and mind healthy. Even if you’re that person who doesn’t care about your weight or your shape. I’m sure it’s still important to you to have a healthy mind so to build or even keep that healthy mind there are plenty of exercise you can do like walk your dog, yoga in your living room and flight of steps will even clear your mind and build healthy thinking habits.
Keeping yourself active not only benefits you physically, but it is also incredibly important for keeping a healthy mental state. As quarantine times are extended across Buffalo and the rest of the country, it can be extremely mentally taxing for individuals who are used to daily socialisation. Suddenly being cut off from in-person social interactions, combined with being stuck inside all day and inactive is a recipe for lack of motivation and even depression. Getting outside in the fresh air, eating healthily, and exercising will help you tremendously until the quarantine is lifted.
I’m sure we have heard the saying Freshman 15 and if you don’t know what it means I’m going to explain it. Freshman 15 is when young people go off to college and in their first year of college they gain 15 pounds. According to Heart you don’t want covid-19 and they are not talking about viruses of covid 19 but they are talking about gaining 19 now that’s a lot of weight to gain. Let’s get right into why it’s important to stay active during covid 19.

Healthy mind
Exercise at home requires discipline but it can be very effective. There are things that you can do to help you stay in the routine. Write down your workout, keep up with what exercise you did so the next day you workout you can set a higher number to complete. Get out of the bed at the same time you would if you had to work. This can help keep your sleep more consistent and help you have a better workout.
I definitely just want to say be safe, everyone looks out for yourself and your loved ones. Protect yourself from gaining covid 19, exercise and eat healthy keep a healthy mind. This virus is real so keep practicing social distance and always wash your hands for 25 seconds. This is my last blog as an undergraduate student, I’m very proud of myself for how far I can enjoy my time at the illustrious Shaw University.
